History of Civil Engineering

 Ancient Era:

Civil engineering is considered as oldest engineering discipline. The era started with the two of the basic of human needs shelter and food in earlier stone age, where people leaved the caves and started living in cottages. They started managing water resources, drains, sewerages  etc.

In my opinion, this was the beginning of Civil Engineering Era.

Modern Era:

According to "Wikipedia" , the earliest practices of civil engineering may have commenced between 4000 and 2000 BC in ancient Egypt, the Indus valley civilization and Mesopotamia (ancient Iraq) when humans started to abandon a nomadic existence , creating a need for the construction of shelter.

Mother Of Engineering:

All humans and animals needs shelters and food for their survival. Only civil Engineering can manage this requirements. We have so many branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, E&TC, IT etc.
But this all fields have no meaning unless a shelter and survival management is in existence. All branches are somehow interrelated and ends at Civil Engineering discipline. Without a doubt Civil engineering is the Mother Of Engineering.
